Southeast Asian Women Mathematicians Meeting 2023 (SEAWM2 2023)<\/strong><\/h2>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

In line with the 9th SEAMS-UGM International Conference on Mathematics and Its Applications, the Third Southeast Asian Women Mathematicians Meeting 2023 (SEAWM 2023) will be held in Yogyakarta-Indonesia. The SEAWM 2023 is a continuation\n of Asian Women Mathematicians Forum (AWMF) 2016 in Bali-Indonesia 29 July 2016. This activity also intended for Celebrating Women in Mathematics on May 12 as a tribute of the Birthday of Maryam Mirzakhani, the first woman who achieved\n the Fields Medal. In SEAWM 2023 meeting we will more focus discussion to get the result of the participation of women mathematicians in developing mathematics and applications in various fields as well as the role of mathematics\n in human development in South East Asia.<\/p>\n

The SEAWM Meeting 2023 has an objective in establishing a network of women mathematicians in Southeast Asia. The program addresses issues regarding opportunities, challenges, and involvement of women in mathematics. The forum also\n shares best practices as well as research experiences done by women mathematicians in Southeast Asia both of from developed countries and developing countries. This program supported by all Mathematical Societies in South East Asia,\n especially of eleven countries of ASEAN: Singapore, Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Indonesia, and Timor Leste.<\/p>\n

We will invite the women mathematicians which they have an experience to share their expert and their experience on mathematics development, not only in their field but also in organizations, communication and supporting activities\n as a women mathematicians. The speakers in this meeting are the representative of women mathematicians from ASEAN countries. After the agenda of SEAWM 2023 meeting in Indonesia, we hope that the SEAWM can be done at each country\n of ASEAN and at least we can have once a meeting together for all mathematical societies in each every four years in line with the Asian Mathematical Conference (AMC).<\/p>\n

Please join us in the South East Asian Women Mathematicians Meeting 2023 while you are attending the 9th SEAMS-UGM International Conference on Mathematics and Its Applications at Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Your participation, women or\n men, in support of women in developing mathematical sciences will help to make the Southeast Asian Women Mathematicians Meeting 2023 a great success.<\/p>\n

The South East Asian Women Mathematicians Meeting 2023 is supported by the Committee for Women in Mathematics International Mathematical Union (CWM IMU), the Southeast Asian Mathematical Society (SEAMS) and the Indonesian Mathematical\n Society (IndoMS). The 3rd SEAWM2 is funded by the CWM IMU at most 1,000 Euros for food of participants and limited for the accommodation of the invited speakers from developing countries.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

There are two ways to participate in this event, either through in-person attendance or through the internet. Participants who choose to attend SEAWM 2023 in person are classified as conference participants and can sign up via the\n conference registration website. For those who wish to participate online, they can join without registering for the conference. It is requested that all individuals participating register via the following link prior to\n July 16th, 2023 (to be extended until 20 July 2023).<\/p>\n
