Talkshow
(Algebra Joint Seminar)

This talkshow aims to promote cryptography and emphasize the significance of cybersecurity in Indonesia. Additionally, it will integrate with the regular Algebra Joint Seminar organized by the Indonesian Algebra Society in the DIY-Central Java region. Please note that this talkshow will be conducted in Indonesian language.

Cybersecurity is important because it safeguards our digital systems, networks, and information from unauthorized access, disruption, and damage. With the increasing reliance on technology and interconnectedness, cybersecurity plays a crucial role in protecting sensitive data, preventing cyber attacks, and preserving the integrity and confidentiality of information.

Mathematics plays a vital role in cybersecurity by providing the foundation for various cryptographic algorithms and protocols. Cryptography, a fundamental component of cybersecurity, relies heavily on mathematical concepts and principles to ensure secure communication and data protection. Mathematical algorithms are used to encrypt data, create digital signatures, and authenticate users. Mathematical models and statistical analysis help identify patterns and anomalies, aiding in intrusion detection and threat analysis. Additionally, mathematics is utilized in the development of complex algorithms for intrusion prevention systems, network security, and vulnerability assessments.

In this talk show, we will discuss the role of schools and universities in developing skilled human resources in the field of cryptography and data security. Furthermore, we will also delve into the importance of mathematics in both areas.
